The "As I Am"™ Story
I have always believed that the most profound beauty isn't found in perfection,
but in the courage to stand exactly as we are.
When I began designing this collection, Western Red Cedar was the only choice. It is a wood that mirrors the nature of a woman. To the touch, it is remarkably soft and fragrant, yet it possesses an enduring strength that can weather the elements for a lifetime. Like a woman, Cedar is easily bruised; it carries its history in its grain.
Every knot, every scar, and every "imperfection" tells a story of survival and character.
While our dining tables honor feminine grace, our Cocktail Collection is named for the masculine spirit. I’ve always seen the cocktail hour as a social sanctuary—a place where men gather, their insecurities drop, and they find comfort in nature’s raw strength. Named with a nod to classic character (Rye, Vesper, Barley), these pieces are sturdy and grounded, offering a tactile connection to the earth that allows conversation to flow freely.
Rather than masking the wood with harsh chemicals or artificial stains, I embrace its honest, organic state. Each piece is meticulously finished with a clear, protective seal—preserving the natural amber and blonde tones while creating a velvet-touch feel. This ensures that while the wood remains "as it is," it is smooth, refined, and ready to hold your most precious memories.
Cedar is generous. It shares its natural resources with us—its scent, its warmth, and its resilience. I call this collection "As I Am" because these pieces do not pretend to be anything else. They are soft yet strong, flawed yet elegant, and deeply, naturally beautiful.
Just like the people they were built to bring together.

The Wooden Vow Rentals was founded by two artists who believe that celebration spaces should embody the warmth and intention of the love they commemorate. Drawing inspiration from their own wedding planning experiences, they created a carefully curated collection of handcrafted wooden tables, altars, and boutique decor. Each item in our inventory is meticulously built and finished by hand, adding organic texture, warmth, and lasting quality to events throughout Greater Houston.
